What is LST?

Law School Transparency is a nonprofit legal education policy organization. Our mission is to improve consumer information and to usher in consumer-oriented reforms to the current law school model. We operate independently of any legal institutions, legal employers, or academic reports related to the legal market.

End of Initial Request Period

Today marks the end of the response period for LST’s initial request. Responses continue to roll in today. We will have an update and our official statement on Monday morning, with a more detailed report to follow. In the meantime, we would like to thank the responding law schools for their thoughtful, substantive responses.

We share many of our readers’ concerns about the responsibility of schools to present meaningful employment information to prospective law students, and we look forward to continuing our conversation with law school administrators. We will soon provide reports on the available information at ABA-approved law schools to facilitate the conversation and emphasize the need for more transparent methods of disclosure.
